Hmm... I'm still not getting anywhere all that much. My latest information is:

I keep reporting the 1880 census as broken but Ancestry hasn't done anything about it. I find it interesting that the name was Clarence in the 1870 census. I wonder if that explains why Lawrence wasn't named as Jr.
