Wow, a distant cousin has popped up and contacted me with more information on the Hayes family! I'm gonna have to update the site soon and get it posted.

One thing I am very pleased to find out is that Cockle is indeed a family name. Jennie Mae Duprey's parents are Benjamin Duprey and Jennie Cockle. I'm gonna have to go back to the Charles Cockle entry and add the Cockle tag.

In the FamilyTreeDNA database, I only matched one person. I am hoping to hear from that person to figure out where in the lineage we're related.
